SSL Setup

Google’s Chrome browser is changing the way it shows HTTP websites (as opposed to HTTPS). From July 2018, websites without an SSL certificate (the magic that makes them HTTPS) will be marked in the address bar as “Not secure”.

That’s not great. And it’s easier than you think to get set up with an SSL certificate. Then your site will look like this:

But it’s not just for Chrome users – an SSL means your site is more secure, so if your users are entering data, this gives them the peace of mind to do so without worrying about security.

With this package, I’ll work with you to select the right certificate through your host or an external provider, and make the changes on the WordPress side to ensure your site works perfectly at its new HTTPS address. Note there may be an extra cost for SSL depending on the certificate you choose and your host’s pricing.
